First post.
Hello and welcome to my "foodie" journal! I plan to post recipes I make try to make, and rate them accordingly on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being a cannot-live-without-said-food-item, and 1 being a don't-ever-make-me-even-look-at-that-crap-again sort of thing. I will also review "convenience" products that I encounter, or various other food/drink items I try and like (or dislike, whatever the case may be). I realized today that over the past six months, I've baked over seventeen varieties of muffins from scratch. It's time to document my creations...errr...destructions, I think. I do love to cook and bake something fierce.

All posts will be f-locked, but you're welcome to come in if you like. I chose to start a new journal for this purpose so I could keep my favorite recipes at my fingertips--and away from my other (un)important ramblings. ;-)

Bon appetie!

xoxo

Sounds fun. :D

You know, I actually like the taste of the Light Vanilla Silk better than the Regular Vanilla. Not quite as in your face, I guess. And those Hostess 100 Cal Packs? Oh yeah, I'm right there with you. :P We buy those at work for my clients, and they're seriously awesome. Just enough to take care of your chocolate craving, but not so much that you feel guilty for eating them. ;)

I had my first Smartwater in LA a few years ago. It seems like those things are everywhere now! I'll drink pretty much any bottled water, but they are pretty tasty. Flavored water also makes it easier for me to get my daily intake. The vitamins are pretty negligible to me. I remember drinking them at work back in the day, and one of my coworkers kept making a big deal about how the vitamins in them weren't really all that great. Now she's caught on to the trend, and drinks them constantly. Nyah nyah. She's a 47 year old brat anyway though. :P

You're such a good sport. :)

I'm with you on the Light Vanilla Silk--it makes me feel less likely to run, screaming for a toothbrush, yanno? And those 100 cal cupcake packs are the only reason I'm not 800 pounds. Seriously. I worked at a Hostess Bakery Thrift Store many years back, and oh, those cupcakes...an easy 10+ lbs in the time I worked there. For real!

Yeah, I'm a smartwater fiend. I tend to go for the plain water as I love the way it tastes, but the flavored water is enough to keep my insane sugar cravings at bay, so I always have a couple of those on hand, too.

And lady, start posting the recipes of all the goodness you make, wouldja? ;-)

Yes'm! I've seriously considered creating a food blog too, but it starts to drive me crazy when I have too many accounts. :P So maybe I'll just start peppering them into my current LJ. If people aren't interested, then they can just skip. ;)

I'm getting ready to go to a presentation for work, but I'll be sure to post the bread recipes for you later on!

You are a cooking goddess. Just be grateful we don't live closer, or you'd have a lot of unannounced/unexpected dinner guests. Your posts make my mouth water! :)

I couldn't get into the 8th Continent for some reason. I tried it awhile back when it was on sale but I wound up back to Silk. Maybe I'll give it another go, though.

Even if you're not updating often here either, I want in. I need new stuffs.

I actually ate a bowl of vegan chilli the other night, because my veggie buddy made it and I'm SUCH a good friend. Hahaha.
